rain will follow, but it's a fine day. The mayoral election ended well; the right person will be our next mayor.
I feel good about today and the days to come. Mind you, I'm not making predictions; I have no crystal ball and am not clairvoyant. The fall of the year has nearly always affected me positively, helping me feel glad to be walking around on the earth.
Last night I sat in front of TV, eating grapes and talking with my roomies. The chihuahua indicated an interest in my grapes and I gave her one. And then, after licking it and shoving it around for a few seconds, she actually ate it. Grabbed my phone and tried to get a pic of it, but you couldn't tell what she was chewing. I swear, though, she ate that grape.
Shortly after that she found a grape, in the kitchen floor no doubt where I must've dropped it. She brought it into the living room; she got up on the sofa with it and she ate it as well. As I tend to think of cats and dogs as carnivores, it surprises me. Especially since she'll find a vegetable peeling, or perhaps a pea or green bean that's jumped from a pan (yeah, I'm sloppy but I clean up after myself!) and look at me as if to say, "really? You eat this?"
In addition to all this, I get email from my dear sister-in-law confirming Big Bro and she would like to join my kids and me for Xmas dinner at our condo at the beach. That's going to be fun and, with both of us cooking, it'll be a grand meal.
AND, I'm going to visit my good friend in Hotlanta for Thnxgvng. We're going to eat good food, see a show, visit and relax. May not get better than that.
