with extraction of the broken tooth and installation (or whatever you call it) of the new bridge. After four weeks of repeatedly putting a temp bridge back in and avoiding food that had to be chewed, I have solid new teeth that don't fall out.
I can highly recommend OMSS oral surgery in Powell TN; everyone was very nice and when I said it hurt, they stopped and gave me more stuff to stop the pain. Bless them! Not the kind of thing you'd do for amusement, but with effective services and kind treatment not at all bad.
Then in afternoon, dentist put the bridge in (yep, on top of the sore gum and empty socket where the tooth had been). Actually not too bad, not that I'm ready to take on a steak but gums are healing and my new teeth work.
Of course, drugs helped me through the discomfort, but I've not had any today and am feeling OK. Having a physical ailment, whether dental or otherwise, reminds me how fortunate I am to have insurance coverage and good medical care available. It could all be so much worse.
