my little darlings might get to it, I will have to get it out for personal use instead of leaving it out conveniently.
They're so smart, the little dears. Of course, I was aware of their feelings; they weren't hiding them. Wish they could speak to me (in a language I understand); 'twould be so much simpler.
Well, they're right. There will be more work done. I will try to provide them comfort and some security during these trying events. If they want to seek employment and pay some part of the mortgage, then we might vote on such issues.
I've decided I'm staying in this house until they carry me out. It's a decent place to live; I've grown accustomed to the house, the neighbors and our environs and moving is much trouble. Not to mention I couldn't move until I sold the house and that might be the hardest part.
So, if I'm staying put, I'm fixing up some things for comfort and to make things more pleasant.
Speaking of dogs, MacKenzie was due at the vet today for teeth cleaning. But when I reached for the leash she ran downstairs and into the back yard. No point in following her into the yard; I cannot catch her. She didn't return for several minutes and I was due at my doctor office for lab work; so I did not get her to the vet.
OF course, the vet phoned to ask where we were. He's not happy with me, but that's just too bad. We'll try again tomorrow. MacKenzie has opinions and strong feelings about any change; she doesn't like even the slightest variation in my actions. I'm gonna have to get more clever in catching her and getting the leash on her.
She's a good dog; but she does not make things easy.
