Quite a nice dinner last evening with Mandy and D. Very good food and the fellowship was even better.
When I went to my car to leave, found one of their kitties laying on the hood. Wish I could have recorded the look on the cat's face when I started the car. You know the routine, 'if looks could kill ....' well I'd be a goner. I did apologize but he didn't seem to care much for what I had to say. He got down and stood aside, and I think he was pretty irritated.
We had a cat many years ago that climbed all over neighbor vehicles. I'd have liked to stop it, but you cannot manage a cat. The reason you say "it's like herding cats" to describe something impossible to do is because it can't be done. Had a neighbor that was going to sue us, or at least report us, because household pets are supposed to be on leashes or controlled. He didn't like the paw prints on his car. Hey, I didn't like the paw prints on my car!
Turns out the neighbor was a bully, blow hard and a jerk. Fortunate for the rest of us who are still here, he's long gone. This was the guy who kicked the cat or dog when he got really mad at his kids, or his wife. That household provided lots of conversational topics.
Cooking Sunday for Monday lunch at the office, one of our periodic events. You know any reason to eat makes it a good day. Don't mind cooking when there's going to be so much to enjoy.
Did NOT get to water class Wednesday; my excuse was how tired I was. And I was, but I'll get back to it. I swear.
