The word of the week is

eelemosynary, which can be summarized as relating to charity. Happened upon it while looking at a local ordinance (not one of the things I do for pleasure). Certainly you can just say 'charitable' or 'in regard to charity', but the bigger word is fun. Don't think so? Then don't use it.

Even as a kid I liked words. I remember fastening onto antidisestablishmentarianism, supposedly the longest word in English at the time. Can't find it in my on-line Merriam-Webster; was it disestablished? Do words go away, or are they just put in storage and forgotten? Wonder if I made it up? OR mis-remembered it?

Someone said to me today they'd like to get into my head; I'm discouraging that because it's very messy, with stacks of stuff not being used, several dusty corners and some paths that are worn slick from heavy traffic. Overall it's unpleasant, and maybe dangerous since my memory seems to consist mostly of swiss-cheese-like stuff with holes where should be stuff.

My interest in and pursuit of words will go on, even if I only add them to RAM and leave them. For a short time, when I find it, find out what it means and how it's used, each word is interesting and I am pleased. And what's wrong with that?
