is always a good time for me. I say reading group because we're back to 3 or 4 members and that makes a small club. How many there are is irrelevant, of course, since we enjoy sharing the books and meals.
Last night we discussed Still Alice by Lisa Genova; a sad story but very good book. No spoilers here; check it out of the library and give it a turn.
Since reading that book, I completed Pillars as discussed earlier, Aunt Dimity and the Deep Blue Sea, also discussed earlier and am now reading Manhattan Transfer by John Dos Passos. I've heard his name all my life, but had never read any of his work. This is a good book that I'm enjoying at least partially because it's set in NYC (one of my favorite places if you hadn't guessed), but also because the style and construction is unusual (at least in my experience).
The girls and I met at New China Palace in Oak Ridge (some of us live in that direction) and shared a good meal. We always have good conversation and many laughs. What a fine way to spend an evening.
