Emerging from life as an inert blob

does improve one's outlook. One step can lead to another and so on. A few minutes in the pool and I'm thinking of what else I can do to feel better and be better.

Thursday afternoon found me at the chiropracter, getting an 'adjustment'.  Co-worker said I needed an adjustment, and I believe she was not referring to skeletal issues. Huh, what does she know?

Funny, isn't it. How having joints and bones and such realigned and put back in proper place (including the snaps and pops) helps with so many things. I accuse the chiropracter of trying to break my neck, all the while he's telling me I need to relax. Of course, someone's going to snap your head from one side to the other, so just relax.  This after already having my back pushed, snapped and popped. But when it's said and done, I feel better.

And today brings my yoga class. Six weeks ago I signed up for five sessions of chair yoga. I'd never heard of it until friend, neighbor and yoga teacher told me about it. Very small group of ladies in class; the whole thing is slow and quiet. Very relaxing and you stretch so many muscles and joints, you feel really nice.  It's not exertive, yet it creates some body heat and we all bead up with moisture on our faces.

In my case, any movement is nearly an exertion because I've spent so much time sitting. Yeah, the muscle that gets the most use is my butt. So I've decided I need more yoga sessions and will re-enlist. Chiropracter says yoga is very good for me; says also that it's good for me to be back in the pool.

As a friend is fond of saying, 'if knowing what to do would fix it, we wouldn't have any problems.'  Yeah, it's that thing about walking the walk, isn't it.
