Such a lovely Sunday and nice mom's day

and today is cool and beautiful. I'm saying my thank you's to my kids and to the universe. Rosey and I ate at Bonefish Grill, which I highly recommend. Food so delicious and excellent service. Oliver phoned Sunday morning and we talked for quite a while on books, films, theater (when you live in NYC you can see a lot of stuff). He always gives me good suggestions on books, so I've added couple to my 'to read' shelf on Goodreads.

Rosey's been chauferring me around for several days since the damn car (well, I hate autos and only have one because it's necessary) is being repaired. What gets me is I have maintained this vehicle, done repairs as they appear and had the regular oil changes, etc. Then the transmission goes. But mechanical things can fail. It's cheaper than an engine or another car but I still don't have to like it.

Was interested to learn that Kelsey Grammar received a Tony nomination for La Cage aux Folles; that's probably a good show to catch. If I had money, I'd go to NYC frequently and see all the shows I could manage. That's the one thing about theater that can't be changed; you can see the show when it's produced locally or is on the road, but you can't see the star(s) that appeared in NYC production.

When the weather's this wonderful (see, I love the cool, early-spring-type days), I can think of so much I'd like to do. Then I get home in the evening and lose all motivation when I see how much there IS to do. There was a time when I could prioritize and get jobs done. I think I've succumbed to my lazy gene.

Well, it'll all still be there waiting to be done if and when I finally get around to it.
